Learning from Local Areas Report 2023-24

In March 2025, the Community Justice Outcome Activity Annual Report 2023-24 was laid in Scottish Parliament. The OAAR 2023-24 provides our assessment of progress towards the national community justice outcomes across Scotland.

In producing the report, we gathered a wealth of information about what activity was taking place in each local authority area to deliver positive outcomes for people in contact with justice.  This information fed the development of the national report, but we recognise there is added value in sharing more directly the information itself, to benefit the shared community justice space where planners and practitioners seek to deliver ongoing improvement.   This report seeks to provide more detail and richer insights into what that activity looked like, how it worked, and what it delivered, to better support problem-solving, learning, and innovation in community justice.

This report is intended to complement the Community Justice Outcome Activity Annual Report 2023-24 and be read alongside it or as a standalone resource.
