Keith's role

Keith is a Group Director of the world’s largest family owned recruitment business, Reed, and is Director of Reed Screening, a large pre-employment vetting business within the group which Keith founded over 10 years ago. Keith has almost 15 years experience as a Non-Executive Board Member and has been Chair of the Modern Work Foundation since 2010. Keith has won multiple industry awards for work transforming the labour market and received a Commendation Award from the UK Home Office for services to the Labour Market in 2018. Keith was made an Honorary Fellow of Lancaster University in 2023 for contributions to employment regulation.

Background

Keith was appointed to the Ministerial Advisory Panel on UK Government’s response to the Good Work Plan and advised the Name Blind committee chaired by then Prime Minister, David Cameron. Keith regularly speaks in UK Parliament on a range of issues impacting good work. In 2024 Keith helped launch “Employ with Conviction” with MPs and Peers, a guide for employers developed with the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS), Disclosure Scotland (DS), and industry experts.

Keith is a Non-Executive with the Gangmasters & Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA)  in UK Home Office, Disclosure Scotland an Executive Agency of Scottish Government, and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA). Keith is the Chair of the Audit & Risk Assurance Committee for the GLAA.
