SUMMARY:INTRODUCTION TO THE NATURE OF STALKING AND ASSOCIATED RISK - ONLINE THRIVE
DESCRIPTION:Stalking behaviour has increased over the past ten years.  The rise of cyber-stalking through social media and mobile phone apps\, shows no sign of abating\, thus\, there is the expectation that the incidences of stalking will continue to rise. \n  \nIt is widely recognised that stalkers can have a profound effect on their victims\, both mentally and physically\, and that stalking behaviour can culminate in serious violence and in some instances lethality. \n  \nTo ensure that stalking behaviours and risks are being recognised and understood then training in this area is vital.  This e-learning training is introductory and will explore what stalking is; relevant legislation and statistics; theories; cyberstalking versus digitally assisted stalking; prevalence; impact on victims; typology; stalking and mental illness and types and approaches to risk. \n  \nThis training is available to a multi-agency audience. \nEmail LDI@cjs2.uniondigital.uk to request nomination form for course.
