No end to sentence
There is no end to these sentences. If there are no breaches of the life licence conditions for 10 years in the community following release, a Criminal Justice Social Worker can apply on the person’s behalf to have the conditions of their licence removed. The OLR is a true life sentence, meaning that all individuals sentenced to an OLR will be the subject of a Risk Management Plan (RMP) for the rest of their life.
