Fiscal Work Order
Fiscal Work Orders were introduced across Scotland in April 2015. A Fiscal Work Order offers the accused person the opportunity to complete a period of between 10-50 hours of unpaid work as an alternative to prosecution.
The most recent data shows that in 2023/24 there were 102 Fiscal Work Orders commenced in Scotland. This is a slight decrease from 136 in 2022/23.
